Last month, the official release date for Android 7.1 Nougat OS - early December, Google announced that this new version will be used for the first time on Nexus phones.
Vodafone Australia has announced that Google plans to release an update to the Android 7.1.1 Nexus 6P on December 6, which will take up approximately 650 MB. If the Nexus 6P will already have Android 7.1 on December 6, then the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player and Pixcel C will receive an update at about the same time (not just in Australia, of course). The Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones are already running with Android 7.1 OS, but security vulnerabilities will need to be further addressed with the updates.
