How to change back housing?
The replacement process is not complicated, but like any repair requires skill. There are two types of back housing: full back housing, which perform the function of a full body, and glass-like back covers, which are attached to the phone case with double-sided adhesive tape.
Full back housing. Replacement can be a real challenge if the cell phone is similar to the iPhone 5, 6, 6S, 7, 7 Plus, as all the internal parts of the phone are attached to the back housing and must be moved to a new battery cover during replacement. This work can take as long as 1-3 hours.
Back glass. Replacement is much simpler because such back covers are attached with double-sided adhesive tape, which is airtight. To remove it, heat the phone back housing to 70 ° C to reduce the adhesion of the adhesive tape.
It is then best to use a narrow plastic tool (to avoid scratching the housing of the phone with a sharp object), insert it under the back cover and run it around the entire perimeter to detach the double-sided tape from the case.
Be careful as there may be other parts of the phone under the cover and the tool should not go more than 0.5-1.0 cm deep under the cover, as the double-sided tape usually holds the cover only at the edges, over the entire perimeter.

Suggestions
- If the back housing is broken, cover it with regular duct tape to prevent the back housing from breaking apart during disassembly.
- Thoroughly remove any old adhesive residue before replacing the new back housing
- If you are replacing the back housing with a new original one, heat the back cover after installation and keep it pressed for 5-10 minutes to ensure maximum adhesion of the rear cover to the housing.
- If you choose a high-quality or back housing analog, make sure you have the additional silicone glue, which you can also buy in our store, as double-sided tape adhesion can be poor on non-genuine covers.
